Good Morning God

My mom gave me a bookmark with the following message. In the past that would have irritated me. Now I really appreciate her thoughtfulness. I read this every morning as a reminder.

Good Morning God.

I acknowledge again this morning

the awesome truth

that you are with me

and within me.

I love your presence.

Walk with me this day,

and speak, Lord, for

your servant is listening.

Help me to be aware,

all day long,

of your real presence,

your mighty power,

and your speaking voice.

And help me to be

obediently responsive to you.

Amen.
